Hello and welcome.
Are you looking for help with a personal problem or relationship?
Do you want to speak to a professional counsellor/psychotherapist?

Counselling and psychotherapy
Most of us struggle, on occasion, to make sense of what’s going on in our lives or to know how to manage in a crisis. This can result in feelings of anxiety, stress, depression, grief, shame, anger, fear, guilt, uncertainty, confusion, frustration or despair. While we’re told ‘it’s good to talk’, sometimes our thoughts and feelings can be difficult to share with others. That’s why it can be helpful to talk to a professional therapist who can listen and respond with empathy, insight and understanding.
Counselling and psychotherapy offer you a space to be yourself and to find ways of resolving or coping with what’s troubling you. Furthermore, it can bring valuable new perspectives to your ways of thinking about yourself and support you to make positive changes. In the process of getting to know yourself better, you may find deeper connection to the simple but important things in life.
I hope in this site to answer some of the questions you may have about the benefits of counselling and psychotherapy. I’ve also included information on the approaches I use and on my qualifications and professional accreditation. In addition, you will find an introduction to some of the issues that commonly arise in my work with clients.
Whether you’re interested in short term counselling or longer term psychotherapy, it’s important to bear in mind that you will need to set time aside to attend on a regular basis. This personal commitment to your mental and emotional health, and to the relationships that are important to you, will I trust, be a worthwhile investment.
